Medicare Newsletter October 2010 Medicare Newsletter October 2010

This is the last year that the Annual Election Period (AEP) will run from November 15 to December 31.  Next year, AEP will be from October 15 to December 7.  There will be NO Open Enrollment Period (AEP) beginning in 2011. Rather, an Annual Dis-enrollment Period (ADP) will run from January 1 to February 14. The only change you can make is to dis-enroll from your Medicare Advantage (MA) plan and return to Original Medicare. You will then be able to enroll in a Part D Prescription Drug plan and/ or apply for a Medicare Supplement policy. Visit www.medicare.org for more information.
