The new feature is called Physician Compare, and is designed to help beneficiaries easily and efficiently locate doctors who are participating in Medicare.

Strength training may be an important method of preventative care for seniors, as it may have significant health benefits, according to a paper that was published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
Previous research has demonstrated that a year of once- or twice-weekly strength training can improve the cognitive function of individuals between the ages of 65 and 75.
Lead scientist Teresa Liu-Ambrose and her colleagues from the University of British Columbia conducted a follow-up study to assess the impact of a muscle-strengthening exercise program on the health of older adults.

New year reveals changes in insurance for seniors |

Many changes are occurring in the healthcare industry as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which was signed into law by President Barack Obama last March. One of the most prominent changes may result in the shrinking of the Medicare Part D doughnut hole, according to CNN Health.
Formerly, senior citizens encountered this gap in coverage once they and their insurer spent $2,800 on medications. Those who did not spend the $4,550 out-of-pocket maximum on drugs were required to foot the bill themselves.
