Medicare.org helps those eligible for Medicare, research, compare, buy, and enroll in a health insurance plan. Our quoting tool works to help Medicare beneficiaries like you compare hundreds of Medicare plans. We offer several ways to compare Medicare plans through helpful features integrated into the quoting tool.
Our purpose is to give consumers as much information as possible so that it's easy to find the most affordable Medicare plans available. Learn how to take advantage of our resources and follow these six steps to get your next Medicare quote!
Step 1: Visit us at Medicare.org
We offer free, accurate comparisons for Medicare Advantage (Part C), Medicare Supplement (Medigap), and Medicare Prescription Drug Program (Part D) plans. Enter your zip code, gender, date of birth, and month/year for your plan to go into effect. Start comparing plans now.
Step 2: Help me find the best plan
At Medicare.org, you can compare plans based on an assessment of your needs, budget, drug coverage, or how it compares to your current plan. Click "Help Me Find the Best Plan" in the upper right-hand corner. The system will help you determine the best plan for your needs based on four different criteria of your choosing. Try these tools for your next search:
Step 3: Compare plans side-by-side
Find a few plans you like? Select up to three plans to add to the Comparison Queue for side-by-side comparisons. Check "compare" in the upper right-hand corner of each plan's box and click "See Comparison" at the bottom right hand corner to view results.
Step 4: See comparison results
When comparing plans side-by-side, you will see a number of important details, including: Medicare plan ratings, premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket spending limits, prescription drug coverage information, benefit information, inpatient and outpatient care costs, outpatient medical services and supplies costs, preventive services, and additional benefits like vision services.
Tips: Click "plan detail" for further information about each individual plan. To compare different Medicare plans, click "back" and select a new batch. Click "print comparison" for a print-ready file you can download or print from home.
Step 5: Apply now and speak to a licensed agent
When you click "apply now" the screen will prompt you or a caregiver to input contact information. After clicking "continue," those contact details will be submitted to a licensed Medicare sales agent who will help you continue the enrollment process and answer any questions you may have.
Step 6: Connect with a licensed sales agent
You won't be enrolled in a Medicare plan until you confirm the necessary information with a licensed sales agent. The online system lets you do your own research first – and then ask us questions later.
If you need help choosing or enrolling in a plan, a licensed Medicare sales agent is available Monday – Friday 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PT. During the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), our extended hours are Monday – Saturday 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT.
